Police: Vehicle defect leads to seizure of drugs and money
A Searsport man was arrested over the weekend after police reportedly found drugs and cash in his car.
According to a press release from the Waldo County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Arthur Smith stopped a vehicle on Route 1 in Searsport at around 8:15 p.m. on Feb. 18 for a vehicle defect.
The vehicle, according to police, was being operated by Stephen Loring, 25, of Searsport.
